After Supreme Court’s conviction of Dera sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, incidents of violence were reported. On August 25, CBI special judge Jagdeep Singh reportedly held Ram Rahim Singh guilty of raping 2 women in 2002. After the arrest of the Dera sect chief, two of his ashrams were sealed in Haryana's Kurukshetra, according to media reports.
