A 30-year-old IAS officer named Ashish Dahiya drowned in swimming pool on Monday midnight while trying to save a woman colleague after she slipped into the pool. The 2016 batch IAS trainee was a native of Sonepat in Haryana. The victim and his friends from the IFS and IRS were at a poolside party when the incident happened. The woman was safely pulled out. Reports suggest the revellers consumed alcohol during the party.
