Meghalaya BJP leader Bernard Marak has reportedly said that his party will not ban beef if they were sworn into power. He also said that BJP government will legalise slaughterhouses. Reporting to media, Marak added, "In Meghalaya, most BJP leaders eat beef. The question of banning beef does not arise in a state of Meghalaya.".
