The Pune state health laboratory on Monday denied that it had not received any milk samples this year from Tamil Nadu to check for toxicity. The lab director DD Badkare reportedly said that the last sample the food testing laboratory received was in June 2016. He also added “There were no toxic chemicals in it. We have received no other sample from Tamil Nadu till date”. Notably, Tamil Nadu Dairy development minister had earlier claimed that state government had sent milk samples to the Pune laboratory.
