Declare Jayalalithaa as convict in DA case: K'taka to SC

The Karnataka government on Tuesday urged the Supreme Court to declare late Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa as a convict in the disproportionate assets case. According to reports, the state argued that the apex court's ruling in February had lessened charges against Jayalalithaa due to her demise and called it as an error. Notably, the court, in the same judgement, had convicted AIADMK general secretary Sasikala Natarajan, Ilavarasi, and VN Sudhakaran.
