Being targeted for exposing regularities: Bengaluru prisons DIG on Sasikala row

Bengaluru’s Deputy Inspector General (Prisons) D Roopa on Friday alleged that she was being unnecessarily targeted and singled out for exposing irregularities at the Parappana Agrahara Central prison. Roopa, in her report, said AIADMK chief V K Sasikala paid Rs 2 crore to jail officials in return for preferential treatment. The DIG Prisons also reportedly said she was ready to cooperate with the investigation.
