Internet giant Amazon on Friday reportedly announced that it would buy Whole Foods Market Inc for $13.7 billion. Notably, Whole Foods Market Inc. is an American supermarket chain exclusively featuring foods without artificial preservatives and colours. Amazon announced that Whole Foods Market Inc will continue to run the Whole Foods Market brand, and John Mackey will continue as its chief executive after the sale.
