The demolition work of the fire engulfed Chennai Silks building in T Nagar has reportedly started on Saturday morning. Notably, the demolition work was stopped last week following a minor accident. The front face of the building has been brought down within minutes of starting the demolition work. The contractor has reportedly pledged that the demolition of the building will be completed before this evening. However, the removal of rubble from the demolition is expected to take more than ten days.
