Victory is served to the one who never quits. This is the theme that Avarude Ravukal tries to convey to the audience. The movie is the solo directorial of Shanil Muhammad who co-directed the movie 'Philips & the monkey pen' along with Rojin Thomas.

The film produced by Ajay Krishnan under the banner Ajay Entertainment features Asif Ali, Unni Mukandan and Vinay Fortt as three young men from different backgrounds who reach Kochi to start afresh. Ashique (Asif) is an aspiring actor, Sidharth (Unni) is an aimless young man and Vijay (Vinay) is an IT professional. In Kochi, they meet Scobo (Nedumudi Venu) who teaches them the different aspects of life and strengthens them to face their problems.

Shanil Muhammad's idea of taking a comedy mystery about three youngsters who tend to run away from their problems has mettle in it. But if he had executed it more interestingly with a more precise and effective screenplay, it would've been a good movie. The loose screenplay and the failed comedy numbers drag down the impact of the movie. But there are some well executed sequences in the movie, especially the one where Scobo (Nedumudi Venu) says "Victory is served to the one who never quits" to Ashique (Asif).

Nedumudi Venu stands tall with his performance as an old man who has his own ways to enjoy life. Asif Ali and Vinay Fortt deliver decent performances doing justice to their characters. Unni Mukundan looks great, but his comedy timing has lots to improve. Mukesh, Milana Nagaraj, Honey Rose and Lena have done a neat job as the other supporting roles.

The cinematography has been handled by Vishnu Narayan who is known for his works in Vellimoonga, KL 10 and Aadu. He has done a pretty good job capturing the captivating beauty of the Western Ghats and the color richness of Kochi with the same intensity. The music by Sankar Sharma blends in well with the pace of the film.
