The
film Paheli which
was directed by Amol
Palekhar and produced
by Shahrukh Khan has
been nominated for
the Oscars from India.
It was selected by
a committee of 10
members which
was
headed by
the noted filmmaker
Vinod Pandey, made the
selection after weeklong
deliberations. “I
am happy at the nomination
of the film for Oscars”,
says the director. Paheli
has entered the Oscars
beating 14 other movies
which also includes
Anniyan, Kadhal and
Sachein from Tamil.
