  Kushboo in the eye of the storm

Actress Kushboo is in the centre of a storm for her reported comments which were derogatory of women. There is also an outfit which is demanding that Kush should leave Tamil Nadu and go

elsewhere. As a mark of protest over her anti-women statements, the women’s wing of a leading political party in Tamil Nadu organized a rally which ended at the gates of the Nadigar Sangam building. The rally got out of control and hurled slippers at the venerable landmark. The protesters also demanded the resignation of Vijayakanth as the President of Nadigar Sangam. Meanwhile, a posse of about 200 junior artistes held an all-night vigil outside the building in support of Kushboo and demanded that police action be taken against the trouble mongers.
