Remember the sweet girl, with the famous Rasna cut mouthing, I love you Rasna? Well, she has grown up to be the ravishing young woman trying to find a foothold in Tamil cinema.


Q: Your first film was Thakadimitha. Tell us something about your experience of working in this film.

Ankitha: I was a bit tense and also nervous as I could not speak Tamil. But, the entire unit was very supportive and made me feel at home. I learnt a lot.

Q: Your next film was with Prashanth.

Ankitha: I had a great time working with Prashanth in London. He is such a dedicated artiste. My character in London was different from the first film and this boosted my confidence.


Q: Have you taken steps to learn Tamil?

Ankitha: Yes, yes. I have flown down a teacher to train me personally. I promise you, I will talk fluently within two or three months.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

Ankitha: There are no special plans as I am still a novice. I only wish to do a variety of roles and earn a good name as a talented actress.

Q: Would you say no to glamorous roles?

Ankitha: I would show off glamour only if it syncs with the script. If used as titillation, I would put my foot down and say no.

Q: What are your other talents?

Ankitha: I am a fairly good writer and have a load of stories. Interested persons can contact for a good script.(giggles) I am passionate about cinema and even if I do not act, I would like to establish myself as a talented scriptwriter.
