Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra to tie the knot? |

Rumor mills are churning out tales that Rani
Mukherjee, the queen of Bollywood, has finally
decided to tie the knot, and the lucky man
is none other than the famous director-producer
Aditya Chopra who is now taking care of the
entire Yash Raj film empire. Sources say that
a low profile engagement ceremony took place
a week ago.

Aditya Chopra, started his career with Dilwale Dulhaniya
Le Jayenge, a smash hit (which is still running in a theatre
in Mumbai for the past 12 years), decided to concentrate
on production after his Mohabbatein, received lukewarm
response. Since then Aditya has been termed as the man
with the Midas touch as all the movies that he produced
including - Dhoom, Dhoom 2, Bunty aur Bubli, Hum Tum,
Veer Zarra, Saathiya - were mega hits. Except the Dhoom
series Rani starred in all of his movies. Rani Mukhesrjee,
who also featured alongside Kamal Hassan in Hey Ram, gradually
became the numero uno heroine in Bollywood. This 29-year-old
dazzling damsel was last seen in Yash Raj's Tara Rum Pum.
Rumormongers say that Aditya and Rani's relationship was
cemented on the sets of Saathiya and have been seeing
each other for two years now. It is said Yash Chopra,
father of Aditya, is unhappy with the proceedings and
is yet to give his approval.
But Yash Raj Films spokesperson Monika Bhattacharya denied
any engagement in the Yash Raj family. “It is not
true,’’ she said. With Rani and Aditya yet
to confirm the reports on their wedding plans we have
nothing concrete to reply on.
