According to Srikanth, his parents did not know about the marriage and only Vandana’s parents and his relative Geetha were present during the wedding ceremony.

Further, Srikanth said that their marriage was registered at Kakinada and the traditional wedding ceremony was held only for photographic purposes. He also added that there was no “agni homam” during the ceremony, which is an essential part in the solemnization of Hindu wedding.

Stating that Vandana and her parents are threatening him with dire consequences if he refuses to live with her, Srikanth also alleged that there are plans to abduct him with the help of some rowdy elements. It was due to this fear that he and his parents left their home, he added. He also rubbished the claims that he demanded Rs. 10 lakhs dowry from Vandana’s family.

On his future course of action, the actor said that he would take up the issue legally and would file a case on 18th June.
