Sanjay Dutt celebrated his 50th birthday on July 29th, 2009. The actor, however, refused any sort of celebrations and partying until his mentor and close friend Amar Singh recovers from his recent surgery. Due to this, the actor’s birthday was low key affair.

The actor in a recent interview to a television channel said that the most desired gift that he is craving for, is his freedom. It is worth mentioning here that Sanjay had a troubled past with Mumbai blast cases still pending against him. The actor was also not allowed to contest in the recent Lok Sabha polls due to this.
