Aamir Khan had refuted rumors that have been floating in certain sections of the media that he has been signed up for the Munnabhai series. While Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai had Sanjay Dutt as Munna Bhai and Arshad Varsi as Circuit, there were reports that Aamir could play Munna Bhai in Munnabhai Chale Amreeka.

Aamir had reportedly told that he was not offered to star in the film. He added that Sanjay Dutt is best suited to play the role and no one could do justice to the character other than Dutt.
