A song, “Athanalathaan naan unakku vendaamadi" was the talk of the town for the past couple of days. The song was assumed to be sung by Simbu and the speculations have risen that the actor had sung it for his upcoming political action thriller, Maanaadu.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Maanaadu also features Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role. The film is bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi and Deepan Boopathy and it has Yuvan Shankar Raja as the music composer.
As the rumours were doing rounds on the social media, Yuvan on Monday has made a strong denial of it. He has tweeted that the rumours are not true and the song is not of his tune.
This project is expected to go on floors by the end of this month. STR has undergone a huge transformation in this movie by shedding 13 kilos in just 37 days. This film will have Simbu and Venkat Prabhu working for the first time together.
