Vikram Vedha, Nibunan and Pandigai postponed due to theatre shutdown

The theatre shutdown has affected the daily livelihood of producers, but the Producers Council and Theatre Owners Association are trying their best to negotiate with the State Government to arrive at a common decision.

The films which were planned to release on the 7th of July, are now said to be postponed indefinitely without a new release date confirmation. As the exact date of the opening of theatres is uncertain, the release dates are not yet finalised. Vikram Vedha producer Sashikanth told, "Yes, as you know about the shutdown of theatres, we definitely cannot release our film. The film is ready and once we get a clear picture, we would announce the new release date."

Other films which are said to be postponed from July 7th release are, Arjun's 150th film Nibunan, directed by Arun Vaidyanathan and Krishna - Kayal Anandhi starrer Pandigai, directed by Feroz. Let us hope for a good decision so that the theatres can reopen soon and films can perform well at the box office.
