During the promotions of Kaatru Veliyidai, Mani Ratnam had revealed that he would soon work on his next film and if things go as planned, it would release for next summer. There are so much of speculations on what his next project would be.

Some say, he would be making a straight Hindi film with Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles while earlier, names like Ram Charan Teja were also rumored to act in Mani Ratnam’s next.
