Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce resolves to stop all releases and close all theatres

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has issued a notice to the Telugu Film Producers Council that they have resolved unanimously to close all theatres and stop all movie releases from March 1, 2018, in Telangana.

The reason that they have stated for this shocking decision is their suffering due to monopolization by the Digital Service Providers and non-compliance with the chamber during releases through DSP's, i.e, UFO, QUBE, PXD and Scrable.

In this regard, they have also requested the producers' council to not plan shootings after March 1.

It is a great news that has come in as a press note for the Telugu film lovers. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the entire Telugu industry have thanked the Telangana Government and honourable minister of cinematography Sri Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, for approving some of their requests.

These include, an allowance for 5 shows per day in theatres, introducing online single window system for film shoots, online ticketing systems in theatres, providing land for the construction of Film Institute with International standards, mini theatres in RTC bus stands and mini cultural centres with seating capacity of 200-300.

In addition to these, Rs. 8 crores have been allotted for the ‘International Children’s Film Festival’ to be held from 8th to 14th of November 2017 in Hyderabad. Housing site allotment has also been done for FIlm Federation employees. A truly wonderful initiative that seems to benefit one and all.
