Peranbu starring Megastar Mammootty, produced by PL Thenappan under his production banner Shree Raajalakhsmi Films. This movie written and directed by Ram will have its Asian Premiere tomorrow (16th June) at 21st Shanghai International Film Festival.

After the tremendous response during the World Premiere of Peranbu at 47th Rotterdam International Film Festival in January, there are high expectations for the film at Shanghai International Film Festival. The film will have three shows at Shanghai, Asia’s biggest international film festival.

The producer P L Thenappan, director Ram and Thangameenkal fame Sadhna have left to Shanghai to participate in the festival premiere.

Mammootty's Peranbu selected at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival

Mammootty's Peranbu a.k.a. Resurrection, directed by the acclaimed director Ram and co-starring Anjali and Samuthirakani, had its World Premiere in Jan 2018 at the 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam. Notably, Peranbu was the only Indian film to be in the top 20 amongst the 187 world films competing for the Audience Award category. The film was also nominated for the NETPAC award.

A recent press release from the film's team also revealed that the film has now been officially selected at 21st Shanghai International Film Festival which will be held from June 16 to June 25. The Asian Premiere of the film will be screened in this festival which is to be held in the city of Shanghai, China.

The teaser and the songs (it is a Yuvan Shankar Raja musical) of the film are to be released soon. Stay tuned to this space to catch them as soon as they come out!
