When admitted to a private hospital on Saturday evening, he was found to have overdosed on sleeping pills while trying to attempt suicide. This news has shocked fans, and apparently a casteism debate and debacle has broken out in association with the actor's suicide attempt.
In a post on his social media account, Ramakrishnan has hinted that as a result of caste-based discrimination, he was denied an opportunity to perform in a prestigious online event, which is touted to be the reason the star has gone to this extreme measure - though there are no proofs for confirming the same.
