In a similar situation, admin and presenter of a YouTube channel has sparked up controversies by making derogatory videos and defaming Hindu gods and representing the gods in bad light. He has also posted videos about the epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata which created a major uproar in social media.
However, his recent video has taken the Internet by storm and not for the right reasons at all. Surender Natrajan, an atheist, made derogatory remarks about Lord Murugan and also about 'Kandha Shasti Kavasam' - a hymn.
Several of them have demanded to arrest this person as this (the video) has hurt the faith of crores of people. Popular actress and director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan have lashed the person who made the comments and requested the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami to immediately arrest this young chap who has been hurting every religion’s sentiments.
