Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsWith the theatres being closed for more than six months due to the Coronavirus outbreak, movies have opted to release directly in OTT platforms instead of the cinema halls. Looks like another biggie has joined this bandwagon.
After Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, looks like Nayanthara’s next much-awaited film might also release in OTT platform. Mookuthi Amman, directed by RJ Balaji, and starring Nayanthara who will be seen in an Amman role for the first time, had created a lot of curiosity when it was announced.
Now, according to the latest reports, the film has opted for a direct OTT release in DisneyPlus Hotstar and Star Vijay as well. It is also being said that the film might release for this Diwali.
However, an official announcement for the same is awaited. Director RJ Balaji had taken to his social media and announced that he has taken a 20-day break and also wrote, “It’s time for Mookuthi Amman” so apparently, he might have taken for the pending formalities to be completed. Stay tuned!
