''DECEMBER MONTH MUST BE DECLARED AS HOLIDAY''

Last year it was the Chennai floods, this year it is the Vardha cyclone. Cities like Chennai and few other places seem to be tackling with nature’s fury year after year. If this is the case, how do we make things better for people in the month of December? It is high time we look for a long-term protection protocol.

Lyricist Kabilan Vairamuthu has emphasized this point and has suggested few welfare measures via Twitter.

டிசம்பர் மாதத்தைத் தமிழ்நாடு கடற்கரை மாவட்டங்களுக்கான பேரிடர் மாதமாக அறிவித்து இனிவரும் ஆண்டுகளில் ஒருமாதகாலம் பொதுவிடுமுறை அளிக்க வேண்டும்

முன் எச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கை மற்றும் நகர சீரமைப்பு பணிகளில் குடிமக்களுக்கு சிறப்புப் பயிற்சிகள் அளிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.”

He says it is time to start taking steps to reduce calamities during these disaster prone Decembers. We need to adapt our living style accordingly and one month government holiday needs to be declared to people living in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. People should be trained about precautionary plans in case of such natural disasters, says Kabilan.
