Actress Jahnvi Kapoor made waves with her debut film Dhadak, the Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat, in which the actress was paired opposite Ishaan Khatter. The film had a decent run at the box office.
The actress is gearing up for her next film. She will be playing the female lead in the sequel of superhit 2008 Hindi film Dostana, which had John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. Actress Priyanka Chopra had also played a crucial role in the film. The song 'Desi Girl' featured in the film has catapulted her to international fame.

Along with Janhvi, the film has Kartik Aaryan playing the male lead. The film will be bankrolled by Dharma Productions and will be directed by Collin D'Cunha. The film will be written by Navjot Gulati, Sumit Aroraa, Rishabh Sharma and Collin D'Cunha
