In an exclusive interview with us, director Vijay revealed unknown details about the circumstances in the background of his film with Vikram - Thaandavam.

"It was one of my biggest mistakes", he started. "After I finished (shooting) the film, the release date was fixed. I was put in a situation where I had to work in five places at once. Meanwhile, someone was making claims that it was their script, and a lot of other issues were also there. I was disturbed a lot, mentally.

"We also had a lot of issues in our shoot schedule in London too, including technical ones. There came a situation where we had to fix the release date as the 20th. 

"It was in this context that I made a huge mistake. I couldn't concentrate on all the areas of work on the film and ended up delegating each part to a person. I am a person who generally pays detail to each frame of the film (and I couldn't)", he said, while explaining the things that did not go right in the film.
