Filmmaker Vetri Maaran is riding high on the success wave of his recently helmed film Asuran, which has raked in a revenue of over 100 crores. The film starred his frequent collaborator Dhanush and Manju Warrier in the lead roles.

Director Vetri Maaran teams up with the National Award for Best Feature Film Baaram

Produced by Kalaippuli S. Thanu under the banner V Creations, the film features Ken Karunas, Teejay, Pasupathy and others in important roles. Post which, his next directorial will be produced by Elred Kumar under the banner RS Infotainment which will feature comedian actor Soori in the lead.

The director has taken to his social media and announced another interesting project in which he will be presenting Baaram - a 90-minute feature film which was the only Tamil film that was chosen as the Best Film at the 66th National Awards.

Directed by Mumbai-based Priya Krishnaswamy, the film revolves around Thalaikoothal - practice in some parts of Tamil Nadu of killing the elderly. Produced by Priya Krishnaswamy and Ardra Swaroop under the banner Reckless Roses, the film is presented by Vetri Maaran’s Grassroot Film Company.

Baaram has a cast of over 85 actors which also includes R. Raju, Sugumar Shanmugam, SuPa Muthukumar, Jayalakshmi and Stella Gobi play some of the major roles. Stay tuned!
