Dhansika on her projects

Dhansika has been doing a wide variety of roles in her films and we caught up with her to know about her projects.

The Kabali actress says, “I am doing a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam titled Solo which is being directed by Bejoy Nambiar. Dulquer Salmaan plays the male lead and I get to essay a blind contemporary dance instructor in it. John Vijay and comedian Sathish are my co-artists. 50% of the shooting is done till now. The way the director has introduced me or taken my shots is amazing and I am sure this film will be much talked about in my career.

I played an action based role in Kabali where I got an opportunity to protect Rajini sir. In Enga Amma Rani, I play mother to two kids. Uru is a psychological thriller where I have a meaty role. I am playing a Madurai-based college going girl in another flick which has a lot of sentiments too. There is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual called Vaalu Jeda (Telugu) which is a woman-centric film, revolves around what women face in the society today and I play the lead there. The film is directed by Gautham Menon’s assistant Ramana and action is done by Kabali fame Anbariv with Praveeen KL editing it. It is yet to be titled in Tamil.  Then there is a Tamil-Kannada bilingual which will begin after I complete Solo. This film will be directed by the popular Sunil Kumar Desai where Si3 villain Thakur Anup Singh is my co-star. In addition to these, Kaathadi is ready for release. I have also done Anandamurthy’s Sinam which is a short film to be sent to film festivals.

Fortunately for me, right from Peraanmai, my roles have been different and not the run-of-the-mill types. I am glad about the way my career is shaping up and I hope to continue in the same pattern”.

We wish you the best Dhansika!
