POPULAR ART DIRECTOR GK PASSES AWAY

Art director Gopinath, popularly known as GK passed away late last night, on the 20th of September around 11.45pm. He was admitted to a private hospital, a week back, due to a heart-related problem and health illness.

GK has worked in over 200 films, including, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, and Ajith's biggies. For the past few months, he was acting in small screen television serials.

GK is survived by his wife Nageswari, daughter Hema and son Krishnakanth. The final rituals are said to happen at 4 pm this evening, in Porur.
