WHEN THE SUN FELL UNDER KOLLYWOOD’S RADAR …

It’s that time of the year when you would hardly want to step out of your house and if at all you go, then you end up getting all soaked up in 5 minutes owing to the extreme hot weather conditions. Agni Natchathiram also known as Kathiri Veyil is considered to be the hottest period of the year.

Starting from day before yesterday, Agni Natchathiram is here to stay till the 29^th of this month. So the next 20 odd days are going to be seriously hot. On another hot and sultry day we thought of bringing you the film titles that were inspired from 'heat'.

The first movie title that comes to our mind is Agni Natchathiram, the classic Mani Ratnam film which had two finest stars Karthik and Prabhu playing the lead roles. The film is known for the fiery battle between the two stars and their union during pre-climax stands as one of the highpoints of the film.

Next on the list is Suriyan (Sun), the title stands as a symbolic representation of the film’s lead Sarath Kumar who scorched up a fine performance.

Vasantha Balan’s family drama Veyyil comes next on the list. The director made sure to maintain that raw, muddy, humid feel right through the film, justifying the title.

The list comes to its finale with Veppam, an action thriller directed by Anjana and produced by Gautham Menon. Though the film’s title is heat (Veppam) it's fondly known for its breezy romantic number - 'Mazhai Varum Arikuri'.
