News agencies have tried enough to get a scoop of Rajini coming back for a Shankar film, but now it is almost confirmed from a trustworthy source that Enthiran 2 is very much happening and that the pre-production has already started.

The art-department along with the VFX team is reportedly working round the clock and the direction team on the other hand is busy with location scouting and adding final touches to the script. With the matinee idol about to start Ranjith's untitled film soon, all the basic work for Enthiran 2 will supposedly be done by the time Superstar is ready to once again become a robot.
