EVERYONE IS RAVING ABOUT MAARI ...

After all the waiting and expectation, Maari trailer hit the online space yesterday evening (June 25) to a massive response . The 'thara local' songs are already a hit in the nook and corners of the state. As the trailer kickstarts with the title track, within the first 30 seconds we see 2 shades of Dhanush - a riotous one and a chucklesome one.

It is quite evident that Kajal Aggarwal would be seen as the quintessential love interest in the film and we hope that she doesn't come only for the song-dance routines. The glimpses of her interactions with Dhanush do bring about a smile.

Robo Shankar's counter dialogues and reactions at every instance suggest a comedy element that will travel through the film. Singer Vijay Yesudas indeed takes many of us by surprise with his brawny cop look. As a singer, we have heard more melodies from him but on entering the screen he seems to bring a heavy metal music feel. His character will be one of the major lookouts in Maari.

Balaji Mohan has dipped his toe into a genre, he is less known for. With the candid and realistic Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi and the fantasy-based Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, the director has set out to do something different and break his own standards with Maari now.

With Rockstar Anirudh's music, Dhanush's 'desi' swag looks, stunning visuals and a kit of pigeons flying, Maari is going to be a pure entertainer for all cinema goers. If it can do its bit with a 2 mins 34 secs trailer, imagine what it would do to you during the course of its full run time.
