The latest National Award Winner, this summer!

The film that brought pride to Tamil Cinema during the recently announced 62nd National Film Awards, Kaakkaa Muttai finally has a release time. Produced by Dhanush and Vetri Maaran and to be distributed by Fox Star Studios, the film’s director Manikandan is elated with the recognition from the central government.
 

“Toronto International Film Festival screened our movie first! We also sent Kaakkaa Muttai to a lot of other International Film Festivals! But getting the National FIlm Awards for the Best Children’s Film and Best Child Artiste is definitely special.”

Talking about the release, Manikandan said that the film will release in the month of May, to coincide with the summer holidays, as a treat to kids.
