Karthi's Kashmora team uses 360 degree omnidirectional camera rig

Undoubtedly, Tamil cinema remains consistently over the top of all the regional film industries for spearheading with unconventionally innovative ideas in both narrative and technical panoramas. Kashmora is the latest one to have its realms for this very reason as the team makes use of 360-Degree omnidirectional camera rig for shooting a particular sequence in this film starring Karthi, Nayanthara and Sri Divya in lead roles.

Sharing this wonderful experience of pioneering with this technology for the first time in the Indian film industry, director Gokul says, “First time we are using 360-degree omnidirectional camera rig for a particular sequence. Initially, plans were made to make use of CG works for this sequence, but later we came across this wonderful technology that we could make use of for a perfect output. It is a multiple camera rig with a 360-degree field of view in the horizontal plane, or with a visual field that covers (approximately) the entire sphere. Omnidirectional cameras are important in areas where large visual field coverage is needed, such as in panoramic photography.”

Kashmora is produced by SR Prakash and SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. Om Prakash is handling cinematography and Santhosh Narayanan is in-charge of musical score.

The shoot is happening at a full swing and Kashmora will be a new-age experience for every film buff across the towns for its newfangled genre that involves the mix of some surprise elements in the screenplay.
