KAMAL DIFFERS FROM RAJINI'S VIEW ... AND WHAT ABOUT GOUNDAMANI?

Sarath Kumar recently made a scathing attack on Kamal Haasan in one of his campaigning speeches for the Nadigar Sangam elections. This came in for severe criticism from fans of Ulaganayagan and also neutral commentators. Kamal's reply was eagerly anticipated.

 

This is what Kamal had to say at the Nadigar Sangam Elections today,

 

"A lot of elders and legends are behind the birth and forming of this great Sangam. There is actually one each for the North and South. I wish there is just one common institution for the country, named as the 'Indian Nadigar Sangam'. And enough of all disagreements, we have to be united again. The members and office bearers have to correct all mistakes and rebuild with time. It's our duty."

 

Interestingly Rajini had appealed that the Sangam be renamed as Tamil Nadu Nadigargal Sangam. Kamal seems to have a contrasting viewpoint. And veteran Goundamani said in an inimitably matter of fact manner that just the name 'Nadigar Sangam' would suffice.
