How has Dhanush's Shamitabh opened at the Indian box office?
Feb 08, 2015Dhanush's second straight Hindi film Shamitabh released on Friday and after its first 2 days, its box office net from all over India stands at 7.80 crores. The film's performance has been restricted to the urban centers and multiplexes, due to its non-massy nature.
The performances of both Amitabh and Dhanush have been appreciated to the skies, while the music of Ilayaraja and the spunky debut of Akshara Haasan have also been noted. The melodramatic nature of the film, particularly the ending has come in for criticism though.
