Illayathalapathy Vijay is known for his philanthropistic activities. Recently his 40th birthday(22.6.2014) was celebrated with much fan fare all over the city, with Vijay fan clubs conducting blood donation camps, distribution of wheelchairs, prayers to the actor and much more. Also the release of the much awaited digital poster with a special sound track by Anirudh from his upcoming movie Kathithi was released with fans going ga-ga over it and giving rave responses.
