Vijay offers his respects to a Nation's hero

Major Mukund Varadarajan of the 44^th Battalion Rashtriya Rifles had lost his life on April 25^th 2014 while fighting valiantly against a group of militants in South Kashmir. The Chennai based officer was laid to rest in the city a few days thereafter with full military honors and a 42 gun salute even as the entire nation paid respects to his sacrifice.

The late Major Mukund Varadarajan is survived by his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese and their 3 year old daughter Arsheya. The Varadarajan household recently hosted a special visitor in Ilayathalapathy Vijay who paid a visit to offer his respects to the bereaved. In a photo made available to the media, Vijay is seen spending time with the toddler Arsheya.
