“Why should I get an award”, Simbu fumes

Although Simbu and Dhanush are pitted against each other as professional competitors, the duo shares a very warm camaraderie and is even stated to have spent some fun time together. Dhanush has won national awards for his histrionics and hence when the topic of Simbu not receiving such an award was broached, the Vallavan hero clearly puts things in the right perspective.

He categorically states, “Why should I prove to anyone that I can act extraordinarily? I don’t find the need at all. The maximum that I would be bestowed is an award. What will I do with an award? I have come here to entertain and get applause from the audience when I come on screen. I am good in dancing and singing and I would love to be a jolly good fellow and expect my films also to reflect that persona of me”.

Quite an honest and candid admission that!
