Rajini rejects talk on politics

Rajinikanth is in Goa currently to attend the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and also collect his Centenary Award for the Indian Film Personality of the Year, from his close friend and fellow superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

Rajini was recently seen in Chennai at the audio launch of Lingaa and the event was marked by speeches by all the guests requesting him to enter politics and serve the people as it was the long-term wish of many in the state. Rajini, as usual, remained non-committal and placed it on God and destiny to decide whether he would enter politics.

But yesterday night on landing in Panjim, when Rajini was asked by the national media about his political ambitions, he said "No No. I don't want to talk about politics now"

The legendary superstar also expressed hope that Lingaa would satisfy the expectations of fans when it releases on December 12
