“Vijay recommended me to direct 3 Idiots” - Parthiban

Rumours and controversies have been brewing around Parthiban recently. The actor/director was shocked when certain reports claimed that he tried to suggest Shankar to go with Suriya instead of Vijay for Nanban.

In an attempt to clarify the news, Parthiban said, “I was initially approached to direct the remake of 3 idiots. As a matter of fact, Vijay recommended me to direct the movie. The production company was in talks with Vijay and Suriya at that time. In the end, the offer went to director Shankar.”

He also observed that the rumour was an attempt to ruin the happiness that the making of his recent film, Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam, has given him.

On a different note, he also credited his daughter, Keerthana, for being his pillar of support in making Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam.
