When Ashok Selvan transformed to Ajith

After the success of Thegidi, all the spotlight is on lead hero Ashok Selvan. The handsome young actor was earlier seen in last year's superhit Soodhu Kavvum and the critically acclaimed Villa as well.

An interesting fact about Ashok Selvan is that the actor was also a part of Ajith's much hyped Billa 2 in 2012. The movie, which was a prequel to Billa 2007, traced the transformation of Ajith from being a struggling Sri Lankan refugee (David) to a world conquering gangster named David Billa.

The title credits in Billa 2 showed the various stages of young David's life - his family members, how the war ravages his family and how he gradually becomes a rebellious young man. This entire title sequence was impressively presented through a series of images and Ashok Selvan's pictures were used to portray a teen-aged David at the fag end of the title credits, just before Ajith was shown on screen.

While talking to our correspondent, Ashok felt proud and happy to have been associated with this much-noted film.
