Dhoom 3 is breaking records from Day 1

The biggest Bollywood movie event of the year, Dhoom 3 is getting ready to release on December 20 in record number of screens all over the world. In India, the film is targeting 3800 to 4000 screens with South India accounting for 850 screens. In the South, the film will be dubbed and released in Tamil and Telugu too. Previously, Krrish 3 held the record for the widest release in India and now Dhoom 3 is set to surpass that.

The advance bookings for the film have begun and the response in places such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata has been phenomenal with the first weekend expected to be jam-packed all over.

In overseas markets, Dhoom 3 is looking at 750 to 800 screens and can be expected to open in more number of screens than Chennai Express, the previous record holder among Indian movies.

On the whole, the worldwide screen count for all the versions of Dhoom 3 put together, is around 4800 and the movie is expected to generate the biggest opening ever for an Indian film till date. The running time for the film is close to three hours and the countdown towards its release has begun.
