Vijay Sethupathi claimed his stake in the Tamil industry with back to back hit films such as Pizza, NKPK and Soodhu Kavvum. One of the core reasons of the success is being attributed to the different themes and the experimental style of the projects he had chosen. Now Vijay Sethupathi says that he wants to move away from such experimental films and do ‘regular’ Tamil films.

Vijay Sethupathi has also said that he is fully occupied till 2014 with plenty of films in his bag and will not be hearing any new scripts until he’s done with the projects at hand. Some of his future projects include an untitled project with Seenu Ramasamy, Vasantha Kumaran, Rummy and Pannaiyarum Padminiyum. His next immediate release will be under the direction of Rowthiram fame Gokul for a film titled Itharkudhaane Aasaipattai Balakumara which also features another up and coming young talent Ashwin K in the lead.

It will be interesting to see how fans and admirers of Vijay Sethupathi will welcome the actor’s decision to alienate his image of being the torchbearer of the new wave in Tamil cinema.
