In the wake of the unrest displayed by certain Muslim groups during the Vishwaroopam controversy, director Ameer came forward to pitch in as the mediator between the two groups.  Now an official from the Hindu Makkal Katchi has filed a complaint with the Commissioner of Police in Chennai regarding a speech that Ameer delivered recently.

In the complaint, it is being said that Ameer reportedly called the terrorist outfit of Afghanistan, Taliban, as revolutionaries. The complainant raised suspicion on Ameer’s intents during the speech and requested that the police look into his overseas trips and monitor his possible involvement with anti-social elements.
