Director of the cult classic gangster saga Aaranya Kaandam, Thiagarajan Kumararaja will be joining hands with ten other young directors from across India for a highly ambitious and experimental project titled ‘X’ (read: Roman numeral for Ten).

The plot line is about a young filmmaker who is reminded by a mysterious young girl of his past relationships – with 10 separate women. Each episode will be handled independently by a director from the radical group of independent filmmakers in Abhinav Shiv Tiwari, Anu Menon, Hemant Gaba, Pratim D. Gupta, Q, Raja Sen, Rajshree Ojha, Sandeep Mohan, Sudhish Kamath, Suparn Verma and Thiagarajan Kumararaja.

Filmmaker and film-critic Sudhish Kamath describes the ideation as being a result of spontaneous discussion over a random idea. The film is being produced by Manish Mundra and is set to star Rajat Kapoor in the lead with a release date targeted for later this year.
