Siva Karthikeyan is a huge fan of Superstar Rajinikanth. It all started in 1991 when Siva, for the first time watched Rajini in the big screen in the film Thalabathi. Since then he has been an ardent fan of his ‘Thalaivar’. Recently he narrated his meeting with the Superstar.

When he was working in Aishwarya Dhanush’s ‘Moonu’, he told his director that he is dying to meet Rajinikanth. Aishwarya kept that in mind and called him on 12/12/12, on the birthday of the Superstar. The enthusiastic actor, who was shooting for Ethir Neechal during that time, requested his director to cancel the night shoot.

His appointment was at 8.30 pm, but Siva’s wait started at 6.30 pm. The actor bought a bouquet and waited near Superstar’s house.

Aishwarya Dhanush suddenly called Siva on his phone and said that her father might not be able to meet him today. A shocked Siva Karthikeyan pleaded saying that he has been waiting near the house for a long time and that he’ll be there exactly in a minute after the call.

If that is the case, the Moonu director asked Siva to come immediately. He rushed to Superstar’s home and was asked to wait there for a couple of minutes. The Ethir Neechal star said he was all shivering like a kid while waiting there. Later, he was summoned in. But even before he got up from his seat, “like a lightning” Rajini himself came outside and with his trademark laughter said, “Hey Siva….”

“Everything around me stood still when he called my name,” cherishes Siva Karthikeyan. Rajini spoke to the actor for few minutes, enquired about his projects and wished him all the luck. He even supposedly watched Ethir Neechal the day before the release and correctly predicted that people would enjoy the first half of the film for its comedy and would appreciate the second half for its content.
