The second round of talks that aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war was held yesterday. The Ukrainian envoy said Russia had not complied with the request and had agreed to deport civilians on humanitarian grounds. The public is relieved.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine. Since then, Russia has been attacking Ukraine from all 6 sides and thereby affecting the public severely. Other countries are making various efforts to rescue their citizens trapped in Ukraine.

Russia first had invited Ukraine for the ceasefire talks in Belarus. Ukraine, which initially refused to hold talks, later, joined the talks. Meanwhile, the second phase of the ceasefire was held yesterday.

Mykhailo Podolyak represented Ukraine. He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was important.

Food and Medicine

The two countries have also reached an understanding on the delivery of medicines and food to areas of fiercest fighting. This is the first time since the start of the war that the two countries have reached to an agreement.

The two countries have agreed to carry out humanitarian operations in Ukraine, much to the delight of the world.
