Second Indian student dies in Ukraine says External Ministry

In this situation, the status of Indian students studying in universities in Ukraine is in question. A 21-year-old student from Karnataka was killed in a Russian attack on the country's largest city, Kharkiv, while a student from Punjab passed away yesterday, according to the Indian Foreign Ministry.

Chandan Jindal, 22, from Barnala, Punjab, studied at the Vinnytsia National Pyrogov, Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia Ukraine.

In this case, Chandan Jindal suffered a stroke yesterday. Following this he was admitted to a hospital in Vinnytsia. However, he was pronounced dead yesterday post treatment.

Chandan Jindal's parents are in Ukraine, according to the Federal Foreign Office. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Baggchi said, "Second Indian student dies in Ukraine of natural causes. His parents are living in Ukraine."

Meanwhile, Chandan Jindal's father has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi asking him to take steps to bring his son's body to India. It must also be noted that a similar request has been placed by the father of Naveen, a student who was killed in an attack by the Russian army on March 1st.
